The Bridges Arts Council provides funding support to help make the arts more accessible, visible, and valued across Valley City, the Sheyenne Valley, and surrounding communities. We rely on a mix of membership contributions and public grants—including support from the North Dakota Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts—to fund a wide range of artistic programs and events.
In 2021, we expanded our reach by taking over the administration of the Community School of the Arts (CSA) through a partnership with Valley City State University. Together, the BAC and CSA work to promote arts education, creative opportunities, and cultural programming throughout the region.
Grants and scholarships are one of the ways we help make local arts opportunities possible. Whether you’re planning an arts-related event in Barnes County or seeking scholarship support for private music lessons or art classes through the Community School of the Arts, this application is for you.
